Deaths: Thomas Geoffrey Booth

On 9 October 2016, Thomas Geoffrey Booth, aged 88, of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Professor Booth registered with the Society in 1951 and left in June 2016.

Professor Booth was the first professor of pharmacy practice in the UK and was director of pharmacy practice at the University of Bradford. He was elected to the RPSGB council in 1978 and was president of the Society between 1985 and 1987. In 1991, he received the Charter gold medal for his commitment to the profession.
