Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Ankish Patel

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for England

I am a pharmacist with a deep passion for the future of our profession. Over the past two years, serving my first term as an elected member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s English Pharmacy Board, I’ve openly shared my experiences on LinkedIn — the learning, the challenges and the growth.

That first term gave me a strong foundation: understanding how things work, building meaningful relationships across sectors and finding my voice. I’m proud of the insight and challenge I’ve brought to the board, helping to create a safe space where others feel supported and heard. Through my national-level work, I’ve seen first-hand the need for leadership, support for new prescribers and equity in training, credentialing and opportunity.

As we transition to a royal college, this is both an exciting and difficult time for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. I’m standing again because our profession deserves compassionate, experienced representation, as we shape what comes next.
