Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Hend Abdelhakim

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for England

Dr Hend Abdelhakim is a pharmacist and independent prescriber with over ten years’ experience across community pharmacy, clinical trials, academia, doctoral research and teaching. Her portfolio career spans practice, education, research and professional leadership, allowing her to remain closely connected to the evolving pharmacy profession.

Hend is an assistant professor in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare innovation at University College London’s Global Business School for Health, where she leads the MSc research project module across multiple postgraduate programmes, with over 600 students and supervises postgraduate and doctoral researchers.

She is the equality, diversity and inclusion lead for the Global Business School for Health and serves on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s science and research committee. Alongside her academic role, Hend co-founded Gustoceutics™ and is completing a Level 7 senior leader apprenticeship with Imperial College Business School and Corndel.
