The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is inviting pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, students and the wider pharmacy community to take part in a new series of online events this autumn to help shape the future strategy of the organisation, as it prepares to become a royal college.
The new strategy will be based on five commitments set out by the RPS in the run up to the historic vote earlier in 2025, in which members voted in favour of becoming the Royal College of Pharmacy, alongside other changes, and will provide the roadmap for the first five years of the new royal college.
The strategy development plans are designed to enable members and non-members to contribute and to ensure that that voices from across the profession can be heard as part of the strategy development.
Online event schedule:
- Pharmaceutical scientists and pharmacists working in industry (members and non-members) — 30 September 2025, 19:00–20:15
- RPS members — 2 October 2025, 19:00–20:15
- RPS members and non-members — 23 October 2025, 19:30–20:45
- Pharmacy students, co-hosted with the British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association — 4 November 2025, 19:30–20:30.
These events will complement engagement sessions at the RPS Scottish and Welsh conferences in Glasgow on 22 August 2025 and Cardiff on 25 September 2025, respectively, and will culminate in a reveal of the key findings at the RPS Annual Conference on 8 November 2025.
RPS members will also be able to share their views via an all-member survey, due in autumn 2025.
