A new British National Formulary (BNF) and BNF for Children app, produced by the Pharmaceutical Press, is now available to download. The app supersedes the BNF and BNFC apps produced by NICE, and is designed to make it easier for UK NHS healthcare professionals to access the medicines information of the BNF at their point of need.

The app combines both BNF and BNF for Children content onto a single platform, and can be accessed without the need for an NHS OpenAthens password. The clinical content of the app will be updated on a monthly basis.

Karen Baxter, BNF director at the Pharmaceutical Press, said: ”The new BNF & BNFC app has been designed to be responsive, interactive and very easy to access, saving clinicians valuable time. We have had great initial feedback from our test group on its intuitive design and ease of use. This new digital format adds to the range of ways health professionals can access BNF content and we are delighted to be able to share it with you”.
