On 9 June 2017, Bryan Holroyd Hartley FRPharmS, aged 77, of Totnes, Devon. Mr Hartley registered with the Society in 1963. Mr Hartley was designated Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in 1985. In 1995, he was appointed to the post of Chief Pharmaceutical Officer at the Department of Health.
