Diane Leicester-Hallam, current chief executive of the charity Pharmacist Support, will be taking up a new post as director of member services at the Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA).
Hallam has spent nine years leading Pharmacist Support, which she joined following a major relaunch in 2009.
In 2008, the charity provided 740 “acts of support” — a figure that rose to 4,700 in 2017. Anita Hawley, chair of Pharmacist Support, said Leicester-Hallam had “spearheaded the charity’s development over the last nine years”.
In a statement, Leicester-Hallam said it had been “a privilege to be the driving force behind the charity’s growth and development” and that she feels confident that “now is the right time for someone new to take on the role”.
She added: “I’m incredibly excited to take on a new challenge within a dynamic young organisation and looking forward to developing new services for PDA members to enhance their member experience.”
Welcoming Leicester-Hallam to the PDA, Paul Day, director of the Association, said that she “will add great value to our organisation and we are delighted that she is joining the PDA team”.
Leicester-Hallam will start her new role in October 2018.
