Diverse pharmacy career options to be explored at upcoming RPS event

Pre-registration pharmacists and established pharmacists seeking a change of career direction are invited to ‘Your Career Options: Take the Next Steps’ — an event to be held at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) London offices on 16 March 2018.

Careers in care homes, urgent care, the pharmaceutical industry, and hospital and community pharmacies will be on the agenda. From the RPS, Paul Bennett (chief executive), Ash Soni (president) and Gino Martini (chief scientist) will all speak. Delegates will also hear from Ravi Sharma, programme clinical lead in pharmacy for NHS England; Wasim Baqir, NHS England care homes pharmacy lead; Lucy Hedley, electronic health record system principal trainer at University College London NHS Foundation Trust; and Paula Russell, NHS England 111 Pharmacy Lead.

The afternoon will feature a career networking session, as well as advice on CV writing and contract negotiation.
