RPS endorses Boots training provider

Boots UK has become the first company to have its staff training and development programme approved by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) under its new accreditation scheme.

The RPS stamp of approval for the in-house training provider — Boots UK Professional Learning and Development — applies for three years.

Training providers seeking RPS accreditation have to undertake a process of quality assurance and showcase their training and development resources against a set of agreed RPS accreditation principles. The provider also has to agree to develop their service against recommendations linked to the approval process.

RPS director of professional development Catherine Duggan said accreditation is a useful indicator to prospective Boots employees that the company is committed to high-quality staff development and training.
