RPS members’ views sought for next edition of MEP

Society wants pharmacists to contribute suggestions to the Medicines, Ethics and Practice guide by completing the RPS online survey.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has launched a survey of members’ views on Medicines, Ethics and Practice (MEP).

Described by the RPS as a “professional guide for pharmacists”, MEP is updated every year to reflect current practice and emerging matters of relevance to pharmacists. MEP 42 will be published in the summer of 2018.

“It is important for users of MEP to share their views with us because this helps improve future editions and helps us to keep MEP relevant,” said Wing Tang, senior professional pharmacist for standards and professional support, who is leading the refresh of MEP 42.

“Last year, users suggested including new guidance on prescribing and dispensing to the same person, and after discussions with our MEP advisory panel, this guidance was introduced to MEP 40.”

The survey will remain open until 8 December 2017, and may be accessed here.

Members interested in volunteering for the MEP 42 advisory panel may email wing.tang@rpharms.com for more information.
