Amandeep Doll has been appointed as the director for England at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).

Doll has worked at the RPS for eight years and currently holds the position of head of engagement and professional belonging, leading on the implementation of the Society’s Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) strategy, which launched in 2020.

She is also a specialist medical pharmacist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Her previous roles include coordinator for the RPS I&D programme, which launched in 2019, RPS regional liaison pharmacist and chief pharmaceutical officer’s clinical Fellow.

Doll will take up the role of director for England in August 2025.

On 16 June 2025, the RPS said that Doll had been appointed following a “competitive and rigorous” recruitment process.

Paul Bennett, chief executive of the RPS, said he was “delighted” that Doll had been appointed the role, adding that, over the past five years, she had “not only brought to life our equality, diversity and inclusion strategy with great commitment and drive, but as a well-respected member of the RPS senior leadership team and head of engagement and professional belonging, has led her team with characteristic enthusiasm and energy”.

Tase Oputu, chair of the RPS English Pharmacy Board, said: “Aman’s appointment reflects her leadership qualities, deep commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and her proven ability to drive meaningful change.

“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Aman to her new role as director for England.”

Elen Jones, interim director of pharmacy at the RPS, said she was “confident that Aman’s passion, vision and energy will continue to strengthen our profession and support pharmacists across England and Great Britain”.

“Congratulations, Aman, I look forward to working with you on this exciting new chapter,” Jones added.

Doll said she is “absolutely delighted to have been offered the role of director for England at such a pivotal moment for RPS, as we transition to become the Royal College of Pharmacy”, adding that she feels “honoured and privileged to be given the opportunity to help bring to life our royal college commitments for our members and the wider profession”.

“I have always been passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and advocating on behalf of the profession, driving pharmacy practice forward and ensuring we’re supporting patients and members of the public to live healthier for longer.”

“I’m looking forward to working with the board and our members to help build an exciting and vibrant future for pharmacy,” she added.
