On 29 July 2017, William Pitkethly, aged 80, of Newcastle upon Tyne. Dr Pitkethly registered with the Society in 1959 and left in 2007.
Between 1968 and 1969 Dr Pitkethly was vice chairman of the Northumbrian branch of the Pharmaceutical Society, and he was the branch’s chairman between 1969 and 1970. He then went on to be branch secretary between 1970 and 1978.
