Tribute
Peter F Cooper, a graduate of Manchester and Strathclyde Schools of Pharmacy who worked around the world in regulatory affairs and as a locum pharmacist, passed away on 12 September 2025.
He was chair of the Scottish Borders branch of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society for a time.
Peter’s claim to fame was sitting next to Axl Rose on a flight from the United States to London for 11 hours — much to his son’s delight. On another occasion, he had to get from United States to Paris in time for an extremely vital meeting the next morning, and the only option was to fly Concorde.
Apart from his pharmacy work, Peter was a photographer, train buff and loved walking.
Our condolences go to his wife Irene, and his two sons Tony and David and their families. A service was held in Kelso, Scotland, on 17 October 2025.
