The Pharmaceutical Care Awards 2014 was held at the Royal Institution in London on 19 June. In their 22nd year, the awards are jointly organised by The Pharmaceutical Journal and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and supported by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
Six finalist teams justified their projects on stage in an interactive Q&A session with The Pharmaceutical Journal Executive Editor Matthew Wright, who hosted the proceedings.
Rose Marie Parr, director of pharmacy at NHS Education for Scotland, Matthew Shaw, assistant director at the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education, and Christine Ward, chief pharmacist at North West London Hospitals NHS Trust, shortlisted the awards. They were joined on the judging panel on the night by Dave Branford, English Pharmacy Board chairman, and John Cromarty, Scottish Pharmacy Board chairman.
