Robina Campbell-Atherton (1933–2023)

On 2 January 2023, Robina Campbell-Atherton (née Gillespie), known as Ena, aged 89 years, of London. Mrs Campbell-Atherton was a former member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.


Tribute

Ena studied pharmacy at the Royal Technical College of Glasgow, which is now Strathclyde University. She carried out her preregistration training at Boots the Chemists, Greenock, and qualified in around 1956.

Working initially at the NHS Pharmacy at Bagatelle House, Greenock, she took up a position at McLaren’s Chemist in Glasgow. Ena then moved down to London in the early 1960s, where she worked in local pharmacies before getting a job at St Thomas’ Hospital, where she remained until her retirement, continuing to locum for friends for some time after that.
