Tribute to Robin Seetulsingh

I was very shocked and upset to recently hear about my former colleague, Robin Seetulsingh, passing away so suddenly. I worked with Robin as a second locum for seven years at Metwest Pharmacy in Harlow, Essex, and I’m pleased to say he was a big part of what made my time there memorable.

Although a long-term locum, Robin seemed to manage the busy pharmacy efficiently in the few days of the week that he was there and customers always enjoyed popping in just to say hello to him, even when they had no prescription to collect. His vast experience as a community pharmacist showed as he had a way of dealing with every type of patient and customer: the worried; the sad; the desperate; the comedian and the difficult.

Although people often thought of him as a quiet sort of chap, those of us who knew him well knew he was nothing of the kind and was always ready for a good laugh and a bit of fun, which is what made our time there so memorable.

He was a big personality with a big heart and will be sorely missed by his lovely wife and family and all those who have worked with him.

May he forever rest in peace.
