Case-based learning: menopause and HRT consultations — transcription (audio clip five)
Nuttan Tanna: What helps in our clinics is that we’ve got a symptom assessment chart, so it’s already asking them about their hot flushes, night sweats. It’s already asking them about their bleeding. Then it’s already asking them about vaginal dryness and loss of libido, et cetera, et cetera, and then it’s asking them about their bleed pattern. And actually, just completing that symptom assessment chart in the waiting room means that they’ve already come in prepped up in their mind that these are some of the questions I can ask about. It’s almost informally saying to them, ‘You can talk to us about this, but we are going to talk to you about this as well’.
