Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Aled Roberts

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for Wales

A current member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) Welsh Pharmacy Board (WPB), associate director at Community Pharmacy Wales and a practising locum independent prescriber (IP) pharmacist, Aled brings a wealth of knowledge from the community pharmacy sector, covering all areas of relevant contractual, clinical and professional topics, alongside a track record of collaboration across sectors and with other professions.

In his time on the RPS’s WPB, he has helped shape positions on open sale of P meds, fought for greater recognition of the challenges of community pharmacy in achieving advanced and consultant credentialing and advocated for the move to a royal college.

He sits on numerous Pharmacy Delivering Healthier Wales subgroups, has contributed to the Welsh Digital Medicines roadmap, electronic prescription service rollout and support for IP pharmacists. He champions the role of pharmacists throughout the healthcare system and hopes members will put their faith in him to represent the profession as we transition into the Royal College of Pharmacy.
