Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Andrea Okoloekwe

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for England

I’m a deputy chief, soon to be chief pharmacist, with over 20 years in secondary care, including mental health, with a strong record of advancing safe, patient‑centred services through effective collaboration with primary care, academia and system partners. I have led integrated care system‑wide workforce transformation programmes and delivered initiatives that strengthened clinical governance, service quality and workforce diversity. My roles as a Royal Pharmaceutical Society regional ambassador, staff governor and race and culture equity network lead are driving organisation‑wide improvements in inclusion, representation and staff experience, enhancing the profession’s visibility and influence.

I’m committed to supporting the royal college in delivering rigorous governance, transparent decision‑making and strategic oversight that reinforce professional development and public trust. My vision is for a confident, inclusive and influential profession, supported by strong national advocacy, expanded advanced roles, integrated multidisciplinary practice and greater engagement with research.

I’m motivated to contribute my experience and leadership to support the royal college’s continued growth and strategic impact.
