Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Elizabeth (Liz) Hallett

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for Wales

I am an experienced portfolio pharmacist, working across primary care, prison healthcare, care homes and education, underpinned by strong GP practice and community pharmacy experience. Over four years on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Welsh Pharmacy Board, I have contributed to policy development, parliamentary enquiries and represented the profession at the Senedd, strengthening my governance expertise.

Nationally, I contribute through roles such as the All Wales Prescribing Advisory Group, ensuring frontline perspectives shape national decisions. I am committed to sustainability and helped lead Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s ‘Only Order What You Need’ campaign, reducing waste and supporting responsible prescribing.a

Being married to a community pharmacist gives me first‑hand insight into the pressures and potential within the sector, strengthening my advocacy for community pharmacy.

I am standing for re‑election to champion our profession and strengthen the future workforce through education, collaboration and leadership as we move toward becoming the Royal College of Pharmacy.
