Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Joseph Williams

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for England

Joseph is the education and training lead and specialist cancer pharmacist at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, with advanced expertise in colorectal cancer and care closer to home models.

As an independent prescriber, he delivers patientcentred services and leads applied health research to improve safety, outcomes and pathway efficiency.

Joseph is also an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Manchester, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate cancer education and supporting workforce development across the profession. 

He has held prominent national and international leadership roles, including chair of the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (2022–2025), co-chair of the UK SACT board, membership of the UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board, and vice chair of the ISOPP Education Committee.

A Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Joseph is committed to advancing pharmacy through education, digital innovation, research and equitable access to highquality care. He brings a collaborative, inclusive, and future-focused approach to professional leadership.
