Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Mohammed Hussain

Mohammed Hussain is a pharmacist, senior healthcare leader and trustee standing for election to the English Pharmacy Advisory Council.
He brings board-level experience, having served on the Council of the General Pharmaceutical Council and as a non-executive director within the NHS. His governance background spans regulation, public accountability and a strong understanding of charity responsibilities.
Formerly, national clinical leader at NHS England, Mohammed has led NHS transformation programmes, embedding digital solutions at scale and strengthening pharmacy’s role within complex systems. He now works in a senior role within a multinational pharmaceutical company, bringing industrial insight into innovation and system change.
As a trustee of Pharmacist Support, he champions wellbeing and inclusive leadership, ensuring members’ voices are actively heard and reflected in decision-making. He is standing to provide experienced, values-led leadership — focused on transparency and ensuring the royal college actively shapes the future of pharmacy for public benefit.
