RPS elections 2023: Sherifat Muhammad Kamal

Sherifat graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, as a pharmacist, passed her Overseas Pharmacists’ Assessment Programme and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council in 2007. She is also a member of RPS.

She has held numerous appointments as a locum and relief pharmacist, pharmacist store manager, clinical pharmacist and specialist pharmacist in retail pharmacist settings, as well as at NHS trusts. In addition, she holds a variety of leadership roles and is a school governor. 

Sherifat is passionate about pharmacists’ welfare, as well as public health pharmacy, drug misuse and abuse, and polypharmacy.

She also champions and promotes equality, diversity and inclusion within the pharmacy workplace and society.

Sherifat is an award winner, having won the MCB 2018 Excellence in Women’s Award and the National BAME Health and Care Award 2022 for outstanding contributions to social care.
