4 August 2016: Head of corporate communications at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), Neal Patel, spoke to Talk Radio about the risks of people borrowing medicines from friends and family. Interviewed by Julia Hartley-Brewer, Patel said: “Usually people are trying to resolve a problem and perhaps a friend or colleague suggests a medicine and you start moving away from the NHS and try managing your situation yourself. We always recommend people talk to a pharmacist before they start taking a medicine that’s not prescribed for them.”
