Dear Editor,
The pandemic has provided us all with an opportunity to look differently at the world. It has allowed me time to reflect on my journey as a leader.
How we choose to engage with others in our professional and personal lives is so important. Kindness, consideration and acceptance all matter greatly. I have been greatly saddened by the negativity from some of our profession on social media, this reflects badly on all of us. We all need to think before we attempt to assassinate a colleague with our unkind words, remembering and celebrating that we are all different, and bring diverse ideas and beliefs to the table. In my RPS role, I will make sure that we continue to lead as ambassadors for the profession, making the inclusion and diversity agenda central to the profession, while ensuring that everyone feels that they belong.
Yours sincerely,
Claire Anderson
