On 2 January 2019, Jean Hetherington (formerly Wadge), aged 85, of Bramhope, Leeds. Mrs Hetherington began her career as a hospital pharmacist in County Durham, before moving to Sheffield. On her marriage to Colin, the couple moved to Wakefield and then to Leeds where Mrs Hetherington worked as a locum pharmacist in many private pharmacies. She was a great support to her husband while he was president of both the Guild of Hospital Pharmacists and the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists.
In 2004, upon completing fifty years on the register, Mrs Hetherington received a letter of congratulation from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s then president, Nicholas Wood.
