PharmAid 2018: Pharmacists encouraged to send older BNFs to under-resourced Commonwealth countries

A copy of the British National Formulary

Pharmacists are being invited to pass on older copies of the British National Formulary (BNF) to colleagues in low- and middle-income countries.

As part of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association’s (CPA) annual PharmAid scheme, wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals will collect BNFs from pharmacies during their usual delivery runs. The CPA will then redistribute the books to healthcare workers in under-resourced areas of the Commonwealth. To date, PharmAid has provided over 200,000 books to 28 Commonwealth countries.

PharmAid 2018 runs from 12–16 March in pharmacies served by AAH Pharmaceuticals. More information can be obtained by contacting the CPA at pharmaid@commonwealthpharmacy.org or 07761 574 284.
