Royal College of Pharmacy elections 2026: Claire Nevinson

Candidate for the National Pharmacy Advisory Council for England

At the heart of my career in pharmacy is a commitment to ensuring people receive safe, high‑quality and compassionate care. Over the past 30 years, including my time as superintendent pharmacist at Boots, I’ve focused on strengthening governance, building clinical capability and helping pharmacy evolve to meet the changing needs of patients and communities.

Working closely with NHS colleagues, regulators, professional bodies and digital health partners has shown me how powerful collaborative, forward‑looking leadership can be. These relationships have deepened my understanding of how pharmacy contributes to system‑wide outcomes and how we can ensure people receive high‑quality care close to home.

If appointed, I would bring a strong commitment to patient safety, experience shaping community pharmacy services and a leadership style grounded in authenticity and partnership. I am passionate about developing the professional workforce, ensuring our profession is confident, capable and equipped for the future.
