RPS elections 2022: Sian Retallick
English Pharmacy Board candidate
I have been involved in community pharmacy since 1978.
From working in my local Boots store to studying at Bradford University, I gained experience in community, hospital, and industrial pharmacy settings.
My experiences enabled me to appreciate the diversity and depth of our profession and to realise that, for me, my future lay in community pharmacy.
From locum to proprietor, I have always enjoyed learning and applying my clinical knowledge to support and nurture the wellbeing of patients.
I welcomed the opportunity to become an independent prescriber in 2016.
Passionate about my profession, I am a member of my local LPC and the Southwest Representative of the PSNC.
Providing an insight into community pharmacy at the front line at these forums and contributing to the debates around our future will ensure our voices are heard in the right places.
