RPS elections 2024: Paul Gimson

I am someone who has always loved and been immensely proud of being a pharmacist. I am proud of our profession and the role we play in improving healthcare. There have been some exciting changes recently in the role that pharmacists play but also some frustrations in the environments in which we work and what we are being asked to do.  

I want to ensure the RPS is focused on those areas that matter to pharmacists and patients in improving care. I want a focus on improving safety and appropriate use of medicines. The role of pharmacists in community, primary and secondary care as well as elsewhere are changing rapidly and we must ensure the profession in on board with these changes and that they are in the best interests of patients. As a board member of the RPS, I will bring a relentless focus on improvement and wellbeing.
