RPS elections 2024: Sue Ladds
English Pharmacy Board candidate
I have been an NHS pharmacist for 30 years. With a background in hospital pharmacy, I had early roles in clinical pharmacy, aseptics and education and training. Having obtained an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, I spent many years working as a clinical pharmacist, specialising in cancer and critical care, before my passion for service improvement, and progress through change, led into management and leadership roles.
I was a hospital chief pharmacist for eight years and a former chair of the Association of Teaching Hospital Pharmacists during which I championed innovation, improvement, advanced practice, research and consultant roles, and supported collaborative services and leadership across care settings for patient benefit.
Having moved into regional, and then national leadership roles, I remain committed to developing pharmacy services and people, currently overseeing transformation of pharmacy aseptic services and leading on Inclusive Pharmacy Practice initiatives in NHS pharmacy leadership supporting equity of opportunity.
