RPS elections 2024: Tase Oputu
English Pharmacy Board candidate
As an experienced hospital pharmacist now working in an integrated care board, I have first-hand knowledge of the challenges of delivering services. I understand, care about and selflessly represent those ‘at the coal face’. I bring skills developed through roles as school governor, trusteeships, committee memberships, staff network chairs enabling me to confidently oversee, scrutinise and challenge.
I am passionate about ensuring that all pharmacists have the opportunity to succeed. I continue to advocate for work on closing the attainment gap and elimination of discrimination in the workplace.
Pharmacy is increasingly recognised as a key player in patient care and changes are happening fast. I believe the RPS must capitalise on this by working collaboratively, being forward-thinking and proactive. To do this I believe and advocate for the RPS to be put on the road to Royal College status and be seen as the respected ‘go to’ organisation for pharmacy.
