Preety is a strategic and visionary pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in clinical pharmacy and independent prescribing across diverse healthcare sectors, including clinical care, education, quality and safety, health and justice, and commissioning. She served as deputy senior responsible officer for the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme at Kent and Medway Integrated Care System and led various national award-winning quality improvement initiatives.
Currently, she is the antimicrobial stewardship lead at NHS England and the former regional chief pharmacist for the South East. Preety chairs and participates in various national and regional boards and committees, managing portfolios that cover strategy; policy; workforce, education and training; digital, diagnostic and dental stewardship; inequalities; and corporate governance. She is a prominent transformational executive leader and a staunch advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion. Her contributions have earned her an honorary membership in the RPS Antimicrobial Expert Advisory Group, marking her as a distinguished figure in pharmacy and healthcare leadership.
