On 18 January 2025, Janet Morgan MPharmS, aged 84 years, of Portchester, Hampshire. Ms Morgan registered with the Society in 1962.
Janet Morgan from Bridgend, Wales, graduated from the Welsh School of Pharmacy in 1961 and married Eric Brierley, a fellow student in her year, in 1964.
Janet worked in retail pharmacy all her life, first in south Wales, then on the south coast of England around the Portchester/Gosport area in Hampshire, as Eric was working at Cyanamid and the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
Their daughter Sharon also studied pharmacy at University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology from 1985–1988, as did Eric’s sister in the 1950s and nephew and niece in the 1980s.
Eric passed away in 2018 after a long career in NHS manufacturing. Janet sadly died peacefully on 18 January 2025 in her care home in Worcester, Worcestershire, close to where her daughter and family live. She was 84 years old.
Her funeral is being held at Portchester Crematorium on 25 February at 12:15.
