Respiratory tract diseases

Respiratory tract diseases are common in the UK, affecting one in five people. Conditions such as lung cancer, COPD and pneumonia account for 20% of all UK deaths. These and other respiratory problems can also significantly affect quality of life. Pharmacists can dispense a wide range of treatments and advice to help manage symptoms and treat the underlying causes.

Our collection of resources has been organised into five sections: upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, asthma, other chronic respiratory conditions, and inhaler prescribing.

You can also take a self-assessment quiz to test your knowledge and help to identify areas of interest.

If you have any topics that you would like to see included in the respiratory tract diseases collection, please contact the research and learning team.
